Thickest spacer to fit on stock lug bolts safely?
What's the thickest spacer you can run on a 01 LS without compromising the strength of the lug studs and nuts to hold the wheels on the car with normal street driving? Is there a specific minimum number of threads that should be used?

at least for the 2nd gen GS, you can do about 11 turns on the stock wheels. after 10mm spacers, you still have a few turns, so that should still be "ok" though i call that marginal
with aftermarket wheels then your mileage really varies. and personally i don't suggest anything more than 5mm like what lexaristo said
