Thumbs up EBC Green Stuff Pads... Just Installed!

Well, I just installed the EBC Green Stuff pads that I ordered from The Tire Rack on my 99 GS. Both front a rears installs went RETARDEDLY smooth. The rears we so simple to install, I at first I did it wrong. the front pads went on without problems. I haven't really had a good run with them on yet, but during the bedding process they felt really solid. they felt (to me) that they had a better grip than the stock ones. Lets see how they turn out! just thought id throw out my two ones!

ok, my first reaction is that they stop like NUTS!!!! Im having problems just getting used to the stopping difference between these and the stock pads. the same amount of brake pedal travel now equates to MUCH shorter stopping distances. I never knew changing out the pads could make such an effect. werd son.

Cool! Thanks for the review. I was contemplating getting them myself. Well now that a fellow CL member has given them a postive review...looks like I'm going to have to get some for my car

Fellas:

I have a relationship with EBC brakes and they DO MAKE GREAT PADS!

The Kevlar Greenstuff are AWESOME!!

they also have very low brake dust.

Also, you all should consider their rotors. Very nice and low priced.

I was actually considering them... ive been noticing some slight shuddering comming from the front when i apply the brakes... feels like they are a tad bit warped.

I would consider their rotors.

I think they only mnake rotors for the front for the GS models.

Peace,

Ted

The new EBC Greenstuff V4 formulation is awesome. I really don't recommend these with stock rotors though, I had a problem with stock rotors overheating the pads (previous EBC formulation) and carbonizing the pad material, producing black dust all over the place and eating the pads quickly, and it warps the rotors too. Once I got new slotted rotors and the new EBC Green V4 pads, they are awesome. Almost no dust, stopping is incredible - predictable, with no fade.
