Was curious what some of you do when you get a new set of wheels and you have the stocks doing nothing?

Mine are sitting in storage for the time being. Still contemplating on selling or keeping them.

They are sitting in a corner collecting dust. Do the tires ever go flat?

Hanging onto mine in case car is ever used for a trade-in. Dealers around here would rather have stocks than aftermarket wheels on a trade in.

I was trying to find room for them in the garage today....I don't have any.

WIth the other set of wheels I have for the Celica, the rubber is pretty dry, stiff and cracking. This is after 7 years though.

We get snow from time to time in the winter so I kept the stock rims with all season's for winter use. In spring, put on the after market's with summer tires.

save em for when you get rid of the car. Rarely does anyone else wanna buy your car with YOUR custom wheels on it. I just think you'd limit your potential buyers with the custom wheels on the car. Get more $$$$ for it with the stockers on it, and get more $$$ for the customs on ebay or CL.

I have mine stored as well. I once sold my stock wheels (95 Accord Vtec 15's) and I will NEVER do that again. I had to have some repair work done on the car, and the body shop did not want to be bother with the break-in's and such of having a car with 18" chrome wheels. I had to go buy some wheels.

Also, you never know when you will want to sell your aftermarket wheels, etc etc

I guess I'm the odd one out here............

I sold my stock 17 inch chrome wheels (GS) as soon as I bought the HRE's. My reasoning is as follows:

I don't intend to sell my GS - it is a classic and I intend to keep it and pass it on to my kids one day. Hence no need to bring it back to stock. (For the same reason I sold other OEM parts like the grille, rear differential, dumped the brakes, dumped the original exhaust etc). I still have the OEM shocks and springs though - if anyone wants them, I will give them away for free - they have about 30K miles on them.

My mechanic never has a problem working on my car with the aftermarket wheels.

If I do want to change the wheels I have on it now, I would just buy new HRE's and sell the existing HRE's.

I don't drive my car in the winter and even if I did, my stock wheels would not fit on my car anymore because of the BBK setup on the car.

I got a good price for my OEM wheels.
