Definitely...and those would look sick on your ride. If you do decide to go that route, those...what are they called...Work something or other...just send them my way.

This looks like maybe a good replacement:

I really dont think the DPE's will ever replace the WORK's. The Equip has something unique about them that I cant explain, especially when I am describing the wheel to people. It may be cause the spokes have no bend?

I was a little disappointed by the HRE one. It lacked the presence of the Gettins. Maybe I need to see pics of it at different angles.

Those Work Equips in their modern form have actually been around since the early 90s... back when there was a series including the Equip Anhelo and Equip Spritzer also (not sure if anyone else remembers those..?). The cool thing about Work Japan is that if you use some leverage, they will still produce a discontinued wheel for you. I recently had to get just two Euroline Ds for a friend (superceded by the Euroline DH within the past few years), and they came through in a very timely manner. Not too many other wheel manufacturers would do the same.

About those DPE (what is DPE?!?) wheels... they remind me of iforged/introforged/dtm autohaus/jline/etc. wheels, where the face design sort of looks like something a student could make in his second semster, intermediate level CNC machining class. The edges are straight 90 deg, the center is just a shallow concave, and the perimeter bolt flange is just flat metal. There is no concinnity to the design of the wheel, and other than the fact that the spokes have a gradual curve and are polished/chromed, it does look like a wheel that could be made on a manual hand mill. When compared to something like the Work Equip, you can see that the Equip's spokes' sides have a decreasing slope, which visually widens the spokes as you get closer to the center, even though the face of the spokes have parallel sides. The center's perimeter flange is recessed, visually "popping out" the center even further. And all the edges have a slight, smooth radius to them. Basically, although it's a super simple wheel, when you look at the details, it definitely doesn't look like something that you can just crank out of the Bridgeport mill in your garage.
