I need a set of custom wheels+tires for my 04 LS430 UL.
I need a set of custom wheels+tires for my 04 LS430 UL. with air suspension.
I sold my stock 17" chrome before I have time to shop for a new set. Now my car is without wheels sitting in my garage.
I am looking for some custom wheels that are not mesh, nor too many spokes. I prefer something more "covered up" since I am trying to make my LS430 more elegant instead of sporty.
19" preferred. Tires to be as wide as possible (at least the rear) without affecting much the suspension nor the steeling geometry. Need to have the right offset and clearance for the big front brake calipers. Staggered setup ok but not a must. Also want to have the tires stuck out further than the rim lips so that any curb damage will be limited to the tires, not the rims.
I have been to American Tires and Wheel Works. With the 19", offset of about 38 front and 45 rear, and brake clearance (which they don't know until it is mounted), they could narrow down to NO CHOICE for me. That is why I need to ask your expertise here.
If you have anything available for me, please let me know the complete specifications and pictures (on LS430??) if possible.
I am ready to buy.

U should post this in Wheel Classified Forum.
Lexus GS3 has a set of almost brand new 19" SSR wheels that fits ur description perfectly, and he is selling those for a great price. Check those out.

got to be one bumpy *** ride with those 20s on, but looks great though. These things are surprisingly cheap for 20s I think. selling your original 17s was not such a great idea, but it's just my 2 cents.

You will like my 17" wheels. The are originals. If I knew the pros and cons of changing the wheels before you bought mine, I would not have done it.
Factory orignal is still the best. Just for the look, I now have to sacrifice and risk so much. You will like my factory wheels with 300 miles on the tires.

Very difficult to find a place who has perfectly-calibrated wheel balancer machine. Most shops just never calibrate their machine. My steeling wheel shakes at 65mph and I took the car back to the shop a week after the new rims+new tires install. They found all four wheels were off a lot (using another machine) and they rebalanced them. I talked to the manager concerning the first machine and he didn't even care. Now the steeling still shakes a bit even with 2nd 4-wheel balancing. I doubt if they have any of their machines calibrated. That is a fast-in fast-out shop with bunch of 17 yrs old kids doing the work.
Where in Bay Area (East Bay) can I find a place who cares about doing the balancing right?
