Living in the NY/NJ area, there are tons of potholes everywhere! I've literally now bent all four rims just from hitting potholes. I have 245/40s all around and was wondering if anyone knew about the possibility of changing to 245/45 (or even 50) to increase the sidewall width and lessen the possibility of more damage to my rims.
Will they fit? Cause problems? Etc.
Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance!

I have toyo proxes 245/45/18 on my LS4 and love them.
It gives me the looks but at the same time increases my handle on the road and the ride is still smooth. It fits perfectly under the fenders if that is what your worried about.

Actually, I moved away from Houston a year and a half ago and know exactly what you mean. I lived in the inner loop and potholes were everywhere! Nice to know that it hasn't changed.
Construction in Houston? Didn't even notice it because it takes them 5 years to fix a road there and it becomes part of the scenery.
