Car was smooth and turning is super sticky. These tires are holding up well and I've owned them for only a day and a half now. They've got about 500 miles on them already and they've never missed a beat. Took a curve at 40mph and grinded the driver's front tire into the pavement a bit but they're champs.

Sounds good. Not much of a review but an endorsement I guess. Be careful

Default Here's a better impression of the new tires..

For those of you who are considering the ES100s - here are my impressions.

Prior to purchasing the ES100s, I had 235/45/R17 Michelin XGT Z4s on the car. These tires were great and I really like the comfort of having Michelin tires on the car because they have a great reputation for making good products.

However, my tires were about 4 years old and they had about 41,000 miles on them. They were TIRED.

Needless to say, I needed new tires. I went to discount tire and put in an order for a new set of the exact same tire but it would have taken too long so I reluctantly went with the Yokos because they were in stock, the W rating, and because of the reviews I had read about how sticky they were. Not only that but the ES100s were only $721 for the set! The XGT Z4s were going to set me back $960!! So- I just saved 240 bucks and I am totally happy with these tires.

The day I bought these tires I embarked on a road trip out to San Diego from Phoenix, Arizona. It's about a 400 mile drive and as I mentioned before, I really pushed these tires hard and driving through the desert isn't really the best environment for driving that fast either.

Once I got into San Diego, the weather was a lot cooler and the tires didn't really get a chance to get warmed up too much but they were still very sticky. I took nice sweeping turn that was more of a 100 degree right than an abrupt 90 degree turn at 40mph and the tires tracked very well. The front left tire slid a little bit into the turn but I suspect it's because all the weight was thrown over to that corner and if I had an upgraded suspension, the weight distrubution would have been more fair.

These tires aren't as quiet as a Michelin MXV4 or the XGT Z4s but considering their tread pattern- they're pretty darn quiet. And the best part is - the vibration at 80mph has actually lessened A LOT. Keep in mind though I only have maybe 500 miles on the tires right now so the vibration make may its way into the mix when these tires get broken in.

So would I recommend these tires, heck yeah!

Hope that helps.

The yoko's are decent for a mid line tire The XGTV4's & MXV4's are totally different animals between them....the MXV4's are more for the luxury side of things & the XGT's are for a higher performance demand driver. I stick with the Toyo Proxes TPT's in the premium end of the line for an all season performance touring tire. Glad you like the Yoko's......I ave heard the fairly new Avid H4S & V4S are excellent as well.
