Hi lexforlife:

How are the Goodyear GS-D3? Is there any reason you are changing? Any likes and dislikes? I am stil debating on changing my current SO-3 to something more quieter tire. Currently deciding between SO-3 and GS-D3.

You may want to contact Bitkahuna as he is running SP9000.

They came stock on my '02 IS300, have about 30,000 miles on them now, they have worn very well, still have tread left, not the quietest tire for 215/45/17 but not that bad either. Have great dry traction, wet traction is good but they suck in even the little bit of snow and slush that I have experienced. Overall I would buy them again.

Ive had mine for a year... EXCELLENT tires. Never a question of qhether my car could make a turn or not. Its only a matter of turning the wheel and keeping your body stable.

Not overly pricey. About $20 more each than the cheesy goodyear eagle GT+4s that are standard.

goodyears are great really great quiet and smooth but my rears wore down real quick i have about 40% tread in the front and the rears are down to the wear bars second reason is goodyear raised the price almost 300 for the set compared to what i paid last year

third i want to do a 285/30/19 instead of the 275/30 for a fuller and wider setup and the dunlaps run less then 900 shipped

SP9000's are awesome tires in the begining of their life. The performance during heavy rains is simply mindblowing. They get real noisy when half-worn though.

I definitely RECOMMEND SP9000 HIGHLY over my Toyo.

Toyo = noisy, but good treadwear
Dunlop = as quiet as stock for low profile tires, comfy, but (heard about) faster treadwear.

to those who have them on now , would you say the ride is comfy not stiff .. would you say the turnin response is quick and not mushy or muted

anymore current dunlap sp9000 users or former users that can can me some good feedback wether pos or neg before i buy a set later this week..

short story/dilema

my goodyears have been outstanding but after alittle over 10k miles the rears are down to wear bars and fronts are about 40% left but they still grip like new with the exception of the rears.. now i think the rears wore fast for they are being streched on a 19x10 rear wheel .. it looks like the top of the tire is curving inward so with the streching it appears most of the rear weight and trq is being placed in the middle of the tire so they are done..

i want to goto to a 285/30 setup for approx a .5 wider tire which will allow for a proper fit for a rim up to 10.5in so my 10in will fit perfectly and also maintain the overall dia of the fronts at 25.8 inches ( i never really liked the smaller dia look of the 275 /30 anyway they were 25.5 while the front was 25.8 which is about 1/4 in diff all around ..

only 3 tires are made in that size , michelein ps2 (285 on backorder until clinton becomes president in iraq) bridgestone s03 (tooooooo damn noisy been there done that already) and dunlap sp9000 (i love the tread design look and the price is under 900 shipped for all 4

i would like the ps 2 but they will run almost 1,500 for the set (major ouch) and if i want to wait for them and can convince myself to fork over that kinda dough then i would have to replace the rear goodyearsf1 with another set and they will run about 650 shipped just for the rears... now guys tell me does that make any sense to spend $650 for the rears when for under $900 i can get 4 from dunlap and get the right sizes

help me out guys ,, how are these sp90000 i need more feedback

I've had Dunlop SP900, Bridgestone S03s, Nitto NT 555 and out of all three of those tires, I prefer the Dunlops over em all, the wear very well, but after a half life, they do tend to get noisy, but not as noisy as the Pole Postions.
