excessive tire wear???!
i have a 1998 lexus gs 400
it has LS430 16 inch rims on it with 215 tires (i know its bad), but its how i got the car and i cant afford any better rims for now.
so basically, i bought 4 brand new tires (cost 360$, not cheap) falken ziex tires.
the front 2 are like at 80% tread
the back 2 are like at 5% tread
i dont drive excessively crazy....
however, my rear control arm and crossmember were bent, then bent back by hand.
ALSO when my vehicle is lifeted, all four tires are supposed to drop the same way, but the one rear tire where the crossmember and crontrol arm were fixed, it doesnt drop, it stays cambered in.
but 1 more wierd thing is, BOTH back tires have the same 5% tread, not just the 1 messed up suspension side.
would both tires be affected, if only 1 side is messed up, and do you think i should replace the crossmember and crontrol arm, or the shock and spring?
also, would i be wearing the tires fast becasue theyre 215 and not 235 or 245?
thanks for your input.
