Hi everyone,

Has anybody had any experence with an all season performance tire by Falken called the Ziex ZE-512 ? If so, I'd like as much detailed feedback as possible with regards to ride & handling & how they have performed in the rain & snowy conditions & general pro's & con's. I know they came in first place overall in a recent popular consumer magazine of 21 high performance all season tires but would also like any & all comments from others who have actually owned them. Anybody have experence with these in snowy conditions?? I've heard many say they are fantastic in the rain

I believe this is the next generation from the ZE 502 I had. Granted, the ZE 502 tires were widely available at a great price yet I found them mid-pack with nothing special to comment on other than the affordable price. About the same as the Dunlop D60-A2 which didn't thrill me either. Good for typical commutes yet not willing participants when putting them through the corners. FWIW

Perhaps they improved the sidwall stiffness and compound with the 512's.

That's what I figure as well RA. I read lot's of comments on the 502 tire & was not very impressed....average at best.

I bought a set of these tyres a few months ago and I've put on at least 15,000km on them since.
I have a 92 SC400 and I find these tyres to be quiet and smooth.
They hold well in the corners (I'm not that aggressive of a driver, but I do push it every so often).
In the rain, these tyres hold well. Even with heavy rain, it holds the road well.
I haven't driven with these tyres in the snow as I have winter tyres...
Overall, I have no complaints.

thanks carib.....so far, my wife thinks they are just awesome & is very happy with them. No rain performance comments yet but she thinks I've replaced the entire suspension system her Focus ZX5 feels so good.
