Those sizes are just fine, good luck!
EDIT- I did not notice the aspect ratio of the rear tire. A 275/30-20 is the proper size

You don't mention what model car these are for but assuming a GS:
the recommended tire for the 20x8.5 rim would be a 245/30/20 and for the 20x9.5 the size would be
275/25/20
If you use the set-up you describe with a 35 aspect tire for the front and rear and the rear is a 275 as compared to a 245 in front you will end up with a rear tire that is nearly 1" bigger in diameter than the front. I guess that would help the car go faster though as you would always be going downhill.
