Default HRE 841 look alike? About to give up.

Ok so I have studied the problem and surfed the web for 3 weeks. GS400 18X8 and 18X10 in the back.
I wanted the rather tame looking SSR GT1 or SSRGT3 without the bolts. Came across the HRE 841 which looks right and has the right widths, paint options etc.. Of coarse $1200 plus for a single wheel is just not in my nature.

My style is less on chrome and bolts and more on the silver and clean lines. The options shrink when you start looking at 10 inch wide. I am about to give up. If anyone has any other thoughts let me know.

The HRE 841 would be perfect except dollars. For $4000 plus they should do more than go round and round..

Wow. Where did you find that price for the 841s? List is about 1400 and 1550.

Even worse. Even at the price you quoted, it is close to 5k than 4k.

Good luck. The 841s are one of my favs. Maybe one day.

My feelings exactly. But others on here would disagree...some members here feel it's a necessity to put $4k rims on a 10 year old car...not me...my SC is worth maybe $6k...so I put some 19's on it that cost me roughly $1000 total including a drop...that sounds about right to me for a $6k car. Keep looking man, don't give up. You'll find something that makes you go without making your pockets go

but the 841 is definitely nice. at least the 18s are relatively cheaper

I believe it was Wheels Boutique or RDM on the HRE prices. They are les than the retail and the smaller 18 wheels are less than the 19 or 20's. They are all just too much money for wheells. Advan Model 5 sold at
www.gruppe-s.com

are around $600 each.

Thanks. I was just curious who your source was. We all know you don't pay list price for these. I was looking at 20s so the pricing for me is higher. The 4k caught my attention until I did the math and it was closer to 5k, which is more in line with my expectations.

Is 441R an acceptable alternative? It's still not cheap tho.

Thanks for the attempt to send pics. I had an old email address which I have corrected. Sorry you wasted your time. My 2nd car was a 1968 427 corvette so I am a littlke more traditional when it come to wheels. I have always had mags, jsut noen that cost more than the car.

The 2 back on the GS400 are the issue, and that requires either 18X9 or 18X10. If I could see the SSR GT3 in person the bolts may not be 2 off for my taste?

Ace makes a silver wheel called the Vector in 18X11 and new wilder wheel called the Aviator.

What is amazing is how you know what you want and how few option are even close.

If Porshe or the like made a concept car, the wheels would be wild but just not offensively so.

C'mon, I thought Texans did everything big! Am I wrong?

Lexus wouldn't want to hear you say that about their cars- if more people thought like that, we'd all be driving white Civic HF hatchbacks with crank windows and no A/C.
After all, a Civic is a perfectly acceptable car, right?

Luxury purchases about passion, emotion, and the pursuit of excellence- not about being financially prudent....

Same here, I'm a bolt lover as well LOL

pureshot, look in the gallery at johnee78, he has iForged 2pc wheels with no bolts and a very nice lip. This is one of the first wheels I have seen that I REALLY like with no bolts. The rear lip looks ridiculous.

Good luck

I can go either way. I do like the cleaner lines of no bolts but it's only like a 51:49 ratio in favor of no bolts. Pretty much a toss up for me.
