Does anybody ride with this set-up? I am wondering:

1) Will the tires fit with an l-tuned suspension
2) will this provide a softer ride than my 235/45/17-assuming I use the same tires
3) how much performance will be lost changing to this size

Thanks

I just changed to this tire size setup a couple weeks ago and am happy that I did.

To answer your questions:

1) I have not lowered my suspension. I am running stock shocks and springs but would think you would have no problem with the l-tuned set up. Up sizing to this tire size only added 0.3 inches to height and width.

2)It did soften the ride for my car. I did not stick with the same tires when I upsized. I went from yokohamo es-100 to Kumho ECSTA asx. I am very pleased so far. Quited down the tire noise and smothed out the ride and got rid of tramlining. I atribute this more to different tire, rather than up sizing.

3) In theory, with more side wall height, there should be more tire flex in high performance cornering situations. I do not track my car, so no negligable effect for my situation. For every day street driving and the occassional spirited driving, I like the size. If you drive your car like you are on road course, you may not like the ride as much.

I give it a
