Default question for tire rack

I noticed that the SSR GT-3 rims have a clear coat on the machined lip.. Can a person order a set fully polished and or without a clear coat on the lip it self? I've had two sets now that have a clear coated machined lip. The last set was the worst, Kosei, after a few rock chips through the clear coat they looked like hell.

Thanks
single shot.

I guess Tire Rack doesn't want my business or they are all on vacation.

I went ahead and called TR to find out my answer.

And the answer would be a no. They do not know if they can get them without a clear coat and they do not special order wheels from SSR.

Bummer. I guess my next step would be to contact SSR on my own and hope the tech line speaks english....lololol... good luck huh

As far as I know you will never ever get SSR GT3 from anywhere else in the world other than TR in the US, not even from Japan even though it's made in there because SSR GT3 was co-developed by TR and SSR in Japan, and TR has the exclusive right to sell them. Sorry man, bad news for you. Don't waste your $ calling Japan, good luck.

Brendon, am I right?
