My wheels are a fairly open style and the inner barrels are very visible. Consequently, the dirt in them bothers the heck out of me.

I have tried using Dawn Liquid Dish Detergent and scrubbing with a fiber brush, but that did not do much good.

Any suggestions on what else to do to clean them? Polishing them is not an option right now - funds are an issue. Polishing the inner barrels in the future, yes.

Hameed, I have an open design too (l-sport m1's) and I clean it with the zaino Z7 car wash with a towel and the dirt comes right off with a little scrubbing.

Careful, you clean too much and your rotors will rust. Sorry, wrong thread.

To get that last bit of dirt your best bet may be to remove the wheels for better access/leverage. Once you get them clean consider waxing the inner barrels so the next go-around will be easier.

Ahhh times like this make me glad that I own deep-dish style wheels, so I can't even see all the dirt and grime building up on the inside of the barrel..... hehhee
