Hey man, I would suggest either 19s or 20s, but thats just my thing, I like the look of the larger diameter wheel on the GS.
Also I'm not really feeling that wheel, but to each his own. Good luck with her!

19's or 20's is right.. for the best look.. 18's look out of place.. in my opinon.. just don't get something that looks stupid.... but make sure its what you like *Not what we like*

I am regretting my 19's. By the way I run Advan Model V 19X9 fr and 19X10 rear 245/35 and 275/30. I am using the Tein HA coilovers. Ride is stiff and loud. I am using Bridgestone S03 (one of the best overall tires for 19s). I am also paranoid all the time about scratching up the wheels. Since my car is designed for speed... this was definitely a bad idea.
If you want balance and comfort go with 18s and JWIC rated wheels. Stay away from the two-piece wheels with rivets... makes your wheels look smaller than they really are. I highly recommend the Tein High Tech springs along with some L-sportline struts. Great balance of ride and "looks."

Eeeeny, meany, miney, MO!!
I was once in your shoes. My stock GS4 came with the cheesy 16" rims. I couldn't decide between 18" or 19". For the longest time I was leaning toward the 19s, but a smokin' deal came my way on some wheels I really liked, but they were 18s. So I thought well anything is better than those stinkin' 16s, so I took the offer. After driving on 18s for over a year now, I'm still wanting 19s. Yeah, I'm sure I'd be given up a bit in the ride quality, but the looks would more than make up for it.
I was also worried about potholes and bending a rim, but I've been through a few nasty ones with the 18s and convinced that the 19s would survive. FWIW I was pleasantly suprised at the lack of difference in the ride quality between the 16s and the 18s. I figured the difference would have been worse. IMHO 18s look a tad small for the GS, albeit better than stock, but not quite big enough.
Bottom line: You'll be happier going bigger than stock regardless of size. It boils down to what matters most to you....looks or ride quality. As stated above the gains in looks outweighs the cost in ride quality.
Good luck

i went from stock 17s to 18s....they do look a bit small on the car.
i would suggest 19s, but if your looking for the comfort (and piece of mind cuz ull have more tire) go with 18.
i live IN boston. the roads are absolutely terrible here. so i am happy with my 18s

I am one guy who went from 20 to 19 to 18. I am much happier with 18s.
20 was too big, it didnt look right, it looked like the car is jacked up.
19s tires too expensive, wheels bend and crack. it was a hassle.
18 Volks Stagger set up Ahhhhhhhhhhhh looks good drives nice. No hassle
I do have to admit, it does look a bit small.
