I just bought a set of Supra TT Wheels, but they need repolished. I was wondering if anyone knows if they are clear coated, and about how much I should buget for a repolishing? I am sorry if this a repost, but I did a search and didn't find my answer.

I'm in the same boat as you. I ahve soem TT wheels being polished right now. Sorry I can't tell you if they're clear coated or what, but whatever you do (well I guess this wouldn't apply cuz ur in Ohio), but NEVER go to Foster's Wheel Service in WA. They still have my rims after 2 months of what was supposed to be a 3 wk job.

Well, I confirmed that the TT Wheels are not clear coated. That should save me a little money. I called around today, and over the phone I am finding that it should cost between $50 - $150 per wheel. To get a more accurate figure I will have to take the wheels in. Also, concensus is that they will need the wheels for around 3 days. Sounds pretty fast to me!!

One thing that a shop in town sugested was that I do it myself. Has anyone ever done this? Basically, they said to go to the hardware store and by a high speed polisher or something like that. They said to make sure that it has a fine grit to it. Anyone know what I would need and how hard it is to do? Just wondering.
