Is there a correct amount of pressure for 19's with 245's in the front and 275's in the rear? I've read people say 40 psi, 32 psi. This is my daily driver and i haven't checked my air pressure for about 5 months since i have gotten these rims. I want to know how much air i should have in my tires. I've read somewhere that you should have 1/100th of your car's weight + 1 or 2 psi of pressure. So if my car weighs 3400 pounds.. I should have around 35 psi? Sorta confused. Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks

Technically you should run what is listed on the inside of the door for your vehicle. Many people run higher then what is listed when they have lower profile tires. If it was my car I would run in the 36-40 psi range.

hrm thanks for the info if you run 40 psi wouldn't you raise your chances of getting bubbles in your tire?

well right now i still don't have any bubbles on my tires, so fingers crossed

somehow i had a feeling that with less air pressure you get bubbles more easily. maybe i am wrong on this one though

Any quality radial tires should not bubble. The only situation you'll get bubbles is due to the broken metal mesh layers. I usually put 42 lb for my 20's for better gas millage and rim protection. The max tire pressure on the side wall is 50 lb so you really don't have to worry about getting bubbles on your tires.

damn, that's so high pressure! why?

actually you might wanna be more careful, you are stretching it bad. tires heats up during driving and the psi inside get higher by 3-5psi. if you measure it 48psi when hot then you are ok, otherwise if you measure it when the car has been in the garage overnight, i think that's too high

WOW! I am only running 33 psi in the front and 31-32 psi in the rear on 19's. I tried 38psi, but the ride felt horrible and harsh.

I am running 35 PSI on my 18" HRE's here in NY right now. I usually keep it btwn 35-37 PSI. Eventually after I clean my rims up real nice I'll up the PSI to 37 myself.

I keep them at 35 (cold) for both my Lexus and Infiniti, they'll be at ~38 after running for a while, is that not safe enough ? Roads here are generally quite good, and I'm fortunate enough not to have ever bent a rim yet.
