I just put a set of 20 HRE wheels and Tein CS suspension on my wife's car and the dealership just called me and said that the steering wheel is shaking very very bad. Can someone help me with what might me the cause of this.

Have your wheels balanced if not already and make sure you have equal tire pressure.Are you using hub centric rings for your wheels? Hope this is a start.

Hey John, I had the same problem and ya the balancing is the most common problem with shaking. It could also be tire pressure and unfortunatley in my case it was bends in the wheels. But what you should do is have them do a high speed balance, this should cure your problem. Hows it look?

Maybe even a "road force balance".It sometimes even cures the occasional bend in rims.

gotta have something to do with the wheels balance i think. not all shops can do 20s balance well

the wheels should already be hub centric (if it was made for Lexus cars). Definitely sounds like a balancing issue...regardless of size, a tire shop should be able to balance it correctly (if they have a good machine)

I took my wheels/tires to get balanced and the first time the shop did a 'static balance' and that was crappy, it still had a shimmy at certain speeds. The shop changed management and the new guys did what must have been a road force balance (they applied weight at 2-3 places rather than 1), and MAN this thing rides wonderful on the highway!!

Try the road force JC, town fair tire did mine.
