Hi, brandon. I can't get into the tirerack site to get quotes.
I bought some staggered rims for my 99 GS300, and i would like some good allseason performance tread. I was looking at the S03 Pole Positions like on your list. Aggressive tread pattern is nice, but not if it hinders slick pavement performance!!
I don't plan on dropping the GS any time soon.

THANKS! why would the heighth profile be shorter for rear? i understand it being wider, but why shorter?

the second number is aspect ratio, it's not real dimension. so the front is 40% of the width and the rear is 35% of the width. so get your calculator and try 245 x 0.40 and 275 x 0.35, you will see that the overall REAL sidewall thickness are very close to each other

the only set of tires i bought myself were for my 2001 Mazda B2500 1.5 years ago! and i went factory size

romini, please recommend a good all around tire. I'm not brand loyal, but i want something that will last a decently long time and be rather inexpensive. those Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole Positions seem to fit the bill, but i can't get prices off of tirerack.com.

well the so3 is awesome handling, but it's no where comfort coz' of the stiff sidewall and it gets pretty noisy as it wears out. i have the perelli nero now and it's very comfortable, though i lose some handling

245/40 and 275/35 18 keep in mind a summer tire will have no snow and ice traction and will have a relatively short tread life.

AllSeason performance, Quiet Ride, and Tread Life are all key factors. I still haven't decided
Atleast I know profile for front and rear, and a list of best A/S performance tires.

Too much to do, too little time.
