My 19s are BENT!
I've barely had my 19" Axis Hagens for a year now...I've only put on maybe 5,000 miles on them...took my car in for service and told them to balance my wheels because I was feeling a minor vibration on my steering wheel at freeway speeds. A few hours later, I get a call from my service tech with some bad news. He said 3 of my 4 wheels were bent!!! Our Oregon roads suck!! I haven't even driven the car that much cause my IS is not my daily driver!! It's still in the works...and something always happens. Now I need new wheels AGAIN...but I think I'll go with 18's so I don't have to have run flat tires!!
Any suggestions on wheels. I would like a staggered set-up this time around. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

Well with your 18's definantly go with a fat tire set-up....It will give your wheels more protection not to mention a much better ride..You could even run a fat tire set-up with another set of 19's, I'm just not sure how much room you have in your fenders or how much of a drop you have..Just a few suggestions.

18's on low pro's bend too,... all wheels are susceptible to it... get the best look and just try to be careful as possible,... I'd never EVA consider a fat tire set,... I think that look is most horrific,.. it'd be better to be stock than to have aftermarket with bubble gum tires in my opinion,... almost looks as if you didn't know what you were doing, or couldn't afford to do it right.
keep your tires, and get some new 19's... just be on pothole patrol.

Thanks for the suggestions...I do like the wheels, and I have considered fixing them...but I thought this would be my opportunity to get new wheels...I really would like a staggered set-up this time and some rims with Angelina Jolie LIPS!!!!!
I currently have H&R springs which i believe dropped the car about 2" or so. I'm planning on getting some Tein Coilovers in a couple of months though. My service tech said that if I get 18's, I would most likely be running them with 40 series tires rather than 35 series like I have now. There just isnt much rubber between the road and wheel to protect my wheels he said. 40 series would help, and give a better ride, but yea, still could bend.
I think I am going to get new wheels and just sell my Axis and let someone else fix them...so any suggestions on rims?
Thanks again you guys!!!
