Has anyone seen a GS with these wheels. ROH Drift R. My local shop will install them with new rubber and the fat 19" setup for $2250. I am not sure if this is good or of the quality of these wheels? (19x8 and 19x9)

I'm diggin' them...my friend just ordered a set of ROH's they look similar to those but they don't have that dip in the spokes...nonetheless your wheels look nice...love the lip on them

Make sure you get 235/265 tire widths or less - with the fat setup on 8" and 9" (vs. 8.5 and 9.5) wheels with the "usual" 245/275 tire widths, the tires will bulge out like donuts.

I wonder is there a way to replace the center cap with the Lexus symbol type cap. I do not like the R as it reminds me of honda/acura type R cars.
If so how do I get one made?

Also Mike, I had told the dealer to get the normal fat setup, maybe I should change. What would you recommend to prevent the buldge look.

Please help with sizing.

Should the "fat setup" use 235/35/19 on a 19x8 rim of the front with +38 offset
and 265/30/19 on a 19x9 rim with +35 offset for the rear.
If so what tires should I get as the s03's are not availalbe in this size???

The fat setup consists of 40/35 series tires vs. 35/30. The extra sidewall makes for a softer ride. 235/40 and 265/35 is really tough to find in 19". I suggest e-mailing Brandon@tirerack (sponsor of this forum) to see if they even exist in any brand. (According to tirerack.com, they have 235/40/19 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, but no tire at 265/35/19).

235/35 and 265/30 are the "correct" size tires for 19 x 8, 19 x 9 rims on a GS. You'll probably have to go with these if you buy the ROHs.

so the 235/25/19 and 265/30/19 are correct. But not really the fat setup, as they are really close to stock. i was hoping to avoid the super thin sidewall to help prevent wheel damage and reduce the harshness.

Correct. In order to go with the fat setup and avoid the donut look, you'll probably need to buy rims that are minimum 8.5"/9.5" wide, simply because of the availability of the correct tire size. You may want to shop for different rims if you are set on going with a bigger sidewall.

OK,

I was talking with the michelin guy at the tire store and he said the normal fat setup will work if I use the Michelin Pilot sport PS2 tires as the 245/40/19 tires need 8-9.5 inch rims and the 275/35/19 need 9-11 inch rims. His opinion was that they would not look like a donut due to their low profile.
Should I believe him, he showed me this in the catalog also.
