Default before you get all bent out of shape about spinners

i was curious of how many of you have seen spinners that are not spinning like they should? do you think if that problem arises i could take the spinner off and maybe clean it out and remount them and they would work? i know most people think add on spinners are tacky but i like em and am going to get some for my sc....one thing i wanted to know though if i put twenys on my 97 sc300 with the eibach pro kit would a addon spinner that sticks out past the wheel just a little bit possibly hit the fender on a bump or would it have to be a pretty big bump? i chose my wheel cautiously and it has a bout a two inch lip so the spinner will hardly stick out.

thanks
ryan

Yikes, an SC with 20" spinners!!! Careful, if you brake from speeds over 60 it might aeroplane!!!

Seriously, when you've done it post up some pics. You might convince us.

George

Ryan,

This thread has nothing to do with the SC400/300 model, its a post about wheels and belongs in the wheels / tires forum. That's where I'm moving it.

Default bent out of shape

Hey dude, no one is bent out of shape. I think you're missing the message though. You keep asking for advice about spinners and I don't think there is anyone here who knows a lot about them. Just using logic and observation, it looks like the add on spinners may stick out some. The wheels that come from the factory as spinners seem to be set evenly with the edge of the lip. I can't say for sure. I don't look at them that hard. You may have to get your advice about spinners on another site or at a wheel shop. Post pics when you get them.
Good luck.

Hey twanky different strokes for different folks, one thing, once you start a thread make sure you read all of the responses carefully for a day or two before starting a similar thread. Last night I posted a true spinning wheel (not add-on) made by DUB (who brought Davin in to do R&D) for about 5k with tires, on your other thread.

If someone makes a post that you dont understand in your thread, just press the 'PM' button under their name to send them a Private Message! We will help you to the best of our ability, but like reggie said, not many add on spinner owners 'round these parts! I know someone that bought a set and one of them wasnt spinning the next day so buyer beware! LOL
