Wheel Size for 99 RX300
Whats the offset I would need for a set of 20" wheels for my 99 RX300? I don't want to use spacers!! I have a set of 20x8.5s now, with a +35mm offset and 35 series tires and had to use spacers in the back!! Didn't know that the RX300s were such a hard car to get rims for!! I guess the recommended size tires for 20" rims according to the tire shop was 55 series, so they mounted those and it hit the bottom of the springs, then they ordered me a set of 35 series and mounted them and then the damn wheels were rubbing against the struts, so I had to get spacers to fix this problem! I can notice a slight vibration and don't like it. I just want to be able to get the correct offset so I can get the correct size tires and have them on my car without spacers!! The 35 series tires look really funny on the RX!! PLEASE HELP!!

Due to the tight clearance between the O.E. rear tire and the strut, larger tires and wheels require using a special hub-centric spacer and special shank lug nuts. 16mm is about what you need for the rear but very few wheel makers will have the same wheel in both +35 and +16, that's why you need spacers.
