Stock wheels weigh in around 45 to 48 pounds. 20's will be around 65+ pounds. I'd sure do it.

The Supra TT brake upgrade is the most popular. Do a search on your options.

twankes, you have a thread relating to your 20's. do not start a new thread everytime you wish to add to your question on 20's, post within your old thread.

also, we have a forum for each specific part such as brakes, suspention, and so forth.

if you wish to search for a thread you have started that you cannot find, click the search button under your post in a thread.

In a very simplistic view of the problem:

use Mass x Velocity x Radius for angular momentum

the radius 8 inches for the 16 inch rims
the radius 10 inches for the 20 inch rims

Let's just assume the weights will be equal since the 20s will be made out of lighter and more durable materials (hopefully)

that leaves a simple ratio based on the radius since we are assuming the same weight

that comes out to 25% more momentum on the 20" rims

if you add more weight then this will increase as well

This also correlates with at least 20% less stopping power. The brakes on the cars are spongy so I would not recommend the rim upgrade without a brake upgrade unless you buy something real light. Even then the small brakes look funny.

i have driven a GS with 20s and stock brakes. let's just say i almost crashed it when first braked. there were just nooo braking power (of course, maybe coz' i am spoiled with my ap racing)

and not all 20s are that heavy. my 20s they are probably around 50lb each together with tires

and for brakes man, that's such a broad question..... so many options and the price range is huge too
