Default twentys

i just bought 20 inch kmc floss with nitto nt555 245/35/20 and was wondering if the wheels will stick out past the wheel well...like if you are looking at the car from the back will you see tires stickin past the wheel wells? because that is not what i am looking for.....its a 97 lexus sc 300 the wheels i bought are 20x8.5
i am also putting spintek turbine's on there and was wondering if the spinners will tuck up in the wheel or are they going to stick out a little bit....heres a photo of the wheel

Default spinners?

Are you really going to put spinners on a Lexus? Really?

Default Airbag it

If I won lotto tommorrow..I'd turn a 97-00 SC4 into a custom convertible..add the spinteks like you and also airbag the car..or add canovers.

That's probably why I don't win. The world can't handle the debauchery...hehe

I'll tell you if you promise to not let this bother you.
Most of us believe spinners are not the best thing for a classy car like a Lexus. It's your money and your taste, no one here will try to tell you what to do. It's also okay to be different, that's what modding is all about. I believe others will agree with me that spinners just seem to go better on something else than a Lexus or Benz or Bimmer, etc.
If others don't agree, that's okay, I'll speak for those that do agree.
It's cool if that's what you like. There are no haters here. I hope.

There are the performance enthusiasts and the other who make lovely show cars.
As a performance guy, I don't like spinners on anything but trucks and SUVs.
If you're going just for looks, I don't think there's anything wrong with spinners.

One thing I gotta warn you about: Flashy cars with flashy spinners are a glowing target for mass amounts of jealous punks.
If you still go for the spinners, make sure you have full-coverage insurance on that car.

Luck to ya!

Default The silent majority....

I cannot tastefully agree with spinners being on anything other than board games. "Spinner" should not even be in the automotive vocabulary. It appeals to none other than the lowest common denominator, and Lexus is not the lowest common denominator.

Yes, you have posted that at least 3 more time in the SC forum.

FYI, there is a post above for 20's

Secondly, I have noticed that the folks who have those add-on spinners alwats seem to 'not spin'

Just check this thread and see what it will look like...

Default Go for it

Personally I like spinners....

Good taste, and preferences are relevant.

Go for the DAVIN RS spinner..
Those are actually deep dish wheels w/the spin part inside the wheel...so it's more subtle..(if spinners can be subtle..hehe)....instead of spintek or others where the spin wheels is out more towards the front of the wheel

I agree Davin makes a spinner that looks okay. Not all the Davin's but they do have one that I saw on an Altima that enhanced the look of the car. I'll say it again, it's your thing, do what ya gotta do. I don't have to like it, you do.
