Default what size rims for LS430?

i'm getting some Kaotik CEO 20" rims for my 2001 LS430, my question is what size for the rear? I saw a new LS at the dealer with aftermarkets on it and it had 275 tires on the rear, 245s on the front. Should I go with a 9.5" wide wheel for the rear or stick with the 8.5" wide wheel with a 275 tire?

Anyone had any problems with this setup ------ Front - 8.5" wheel with 245 tires, Rear - 9.5" wheel with 275 tires?

I don't think you can put a 275 on a 8.5 width wheel. I'd suggest the widest you can go on a 8.5 width wheel is 255, but 245 is ideal.

thanks for the responses.........any recommendations on tire brands?

I will not be driving hard, so I want max quietness and longest lasting, since I wont be able to rotate the tires.

Falken ST115, Treadwear 360, super quiet........And the price is very reasonable.

@#$%.... the tire shop called and said the Kaotiks I want only come in 8.5" width, not 9.5".

I really like the staggered setup look with the 275 tire on a 9.5 wheel in the rear. Any opinions on how it would look if I went with the 245s on 8.5s all around vs the staggered setup? Or would it look much better to go with a different set of wheels altogether and get em staggered?

Any pics of a car with 245s on 8.5s all around?

If you go 8.5 all around the rears won't be as flush with the car as it would be with a staggered 20x9.5/10 setup, but that could be fixed with some wheel spacers, which will give you the effect/look of a staggered setup.

To be honest with you, I think you could find better quality wheels. The reasons why I'm saying this is 1)because the wheels only come in 8.5 width...higher end companies with quality wheels almost always offer different widths/offsets...and 2) the pics that I looked up on the wheels seem to give me the idea that they're not quality wheels based on design (looks like a knock-off of Auto Couture Supremes) and construction (fake rivets to make it look like a 2-piece wheel when it's really a 1-piece wheel ). Just my 2 cents.
