Default New generation of forged wheels

There seems to be a bunch of new forged wheel companies popping up lately. Heres 2 more. While I wouldnt compare these wheels to HRE as far as quality and presitge is concerned...I have to give these companies credit for taking chances with new designs. Specifically Cartelli. Makaveli seems to be mainly knock offs.. with not alot of attention to detail. Check out the rivets, they bleed into the design and they're not symmetrical

Just put those rivets anywhere...why measure them out and make sure they look symmetrical

I like this wheel from Makaveli. Even though it might be a knock-off, it still looks good.

Yeah, Brabus Monobloc VI was what I thought of when I saw the third design, too.

Another manufacturer of quality forged wheels - Kinesis...they now offer 20"s fitments and 19s" with reverse lip applications

IMO they make some very nice wheels

Mr. Who - The rivets in that Makaveli are actually symetrical. There are exactly 5 evenly placed rivets between each of the 6 spokes. I do, however, see where you got thrown off... The top two and the bottom two spokes, as seen in the picture you posted, have 2 rivets at the very end of them. The left and right-most spokes have only one rivet at the end of those. So, there are an even amount of rivets between each spoke and each spoke that span the diameter of the wheel have an even amount of rivets in them.

Nope... look again. There are 40 bolts in that wheel. 40 does not divide by 6 (spokes) evenly. I have seen that split-six style wheel in person, and the assembly bolts are indeed positioned randomly. Go ahead and drill those anywhere, it doesn't matter

FWIW, I hope most of those newbie wheels have passed test... (c'mon now, the black one...?). I don't want to see anybody out there getting hurt!

The Kinesis stuff is good-to-go: they are heavily into the road-racing scene. The company that cuts their centers for them does a commendable job!

Mr Who, Here's the story, Since Boyd Coddington the king of billet( and he's suppost to be a *****) filed bankruptcy and then reorginized, a lot of his guys left and started their own wheel companies and also the amount of Aerospace CNC machinest that were out of work have been pick up at these wheel manufacting places and that's why these companies are poping up all over California and other states.
