i checked out the site... and it seems they don't make a 19x10... only a 19x 10.5

I just keep looking at the vertex soarer and i really want those offsets. LOL

Okay... i'm 90% going with GTC's i'm starting to get serious with my offsets and lips.

If the vertex soarer can go with a 10 and +24... shouldn't i be able to run a 9 with the same offset in the front... and same with the back... a 10 or 10.5 with the same or even lower offset?

Lets say this is the rim size: { = width : = offset | = center of rim

{ : | } <--- this would be 10.5 inch width rim with say a +23 offset
{ : | } <--- this would be 9.5 inch width rim with a +18 offset

according to what i read on the Ray's site on offsets and rim depth... this is my logical thinking.

am i correct in thinking this way?

Hey dude, I posted pics of my rims in the sc300/400 forums if you'd like to take a look...

The thing you need to realize about the Vertex Soarer is that he has lots of body massaging, and his suspension setup with the camber the way it is and the fender alterations lets him use those offsets.
You may be getting into a little much trying to run even 18x9and10s w/ something as low as a 24, you may really want to stick up around the 37mm offset to avoid big fender mods. You'll still have really big lip action, don't worry...

you definitely will not be able to get the same wheel setup as the vertex soarer without major modifications. go with the more typical offsets like theman mentioned or else you will regret it. if and when you have made your mind on getting a set of volks, you can let me know if you like. i know someone who can get you a great deal.

On the rear you could use the 18x10 face2 with the mid pad wheel and a 37mm offset, or if you want even slightly more lip action you could probably get away with the low pad wheel and the 38mm offset. With the slanted spokes of the face2 they should even clear the larger supra rear caliper conversions. And with either of these offsets on the rear you shouldn't have any problems fitting 265 35 back there with barely any fender mods...
That is true but the guy isn't going for the sunkin battleship look look with huge balloons for tires and small lip.

The Vertex Soarer has Vertex carbon fiber wide fenders on it that allow for that aggressive offset. Don't plan on getting that much lip without major modification.
