Symbolic Wheels 3-Pice Forged Triple Chrome
Fellas:
It look like I will be getting a set of Symbolic 3-Pice Forged Series Wheels in Triple Chrome.
Probably going to go with 20 X 8.5 and either 20 X 9.5 or 10.
These wheels are genuine 3-piece with triple chrome and are FORGED.
Anyone have any direct experience with these wheels?
I am still deciding between a couple of models.
I'll post some pics for an idea - which one better?
PHML - Major Props on the Photoshop!!
By the way, it looks like I will be getting 255/35/20 all the way around (special situation).
Will I have rubbing ?
My car is dropped 1.5" with Eibachas and Bilstein combo.
Lastly, what offset should I go with so that it fits (no rub) and so that I have max lip?
Peace,
Ted

Ted, I like both of the sets; they look pretty sweet in the photoshop pics. If it were my choice, I would go with the SL-3 just because of the unique and aggressive look. I don't see that many wheels on a Lexus with the 5-spoke design like that

You see both wheels that I am considering up close here.

The SL-3 has kind of a Auto Couture look to it, very nice wheel. I'd go for either, man they both look nice.
I would not run a 9.5 or 10 on a 255 tire though, it will stretch ALOT and leave the rim susceptible to damage from potholes, etc. Also the 255 is a tight fit in the front of a GS, PM SoCalSC4 he has 255s and had to to some mods to make them fit, I believe.

The first gen GS is a much larger car than the 2nd Gen, about 5in longer overall. It also has bigger front wheel well. I have plenty of room up front, but I dont think you could run a drop as low as mine (about 1.8-1.9) with 255s up front on a 2nd Gen
PM Bob (SoCalSC4) he can provide with all the measurements, depths, etc!

OK....im the lone wolf here....I like the SL-15....it'll show off your big brakes more.
The SL-3 looks like a stock Mercedes wheel.....and Im NOT into the MB look.

I would say it would....but ever so slight....NOT a big thing....unless you want to have it re-calibrated for your peace of mind.
