This has been a pretty horrific free agent signing period for the Lakers. Jordan Hill at 2 yr/$18M and Nick Young at 4 yr/$21M. Acquired Jeremy Lin via trade (along with at least a first round pick). Looks like Pau is gone, which is ok. I love what he did for LA, but last year, he looked done. The Lakers are not going to be good in '14-'15.

Wow. You called that Lin trade. Lin gave the Rockets a chance of competing with the Blazers. Harden stunk it up.

Only a Jabari Parker or Wiggins could have helped the Lakers but draft was not deep enough to help Lakers. Kobe should be traded to a contender like Rockets! Rockets will trade their PG Lin and no I am kidding, Rockets don't want any part of Kobe's "extension" salary he will be getting for the next 2 years then retire? Kobe will do like the Spurs and play forever like Timmy Duncan and gang?
The Lakers need another superstar. The problem is there aren't any available, and there won't be for at least another year. Pau appears gone to Chicago and there doesn't appear to be any players of his caliber available as a replacement. Looks like we're going to round out our roster with 3rd tier players and have a slightly better season this year than last. Man...
