Thumbs up The *OFFICIAL* 2011: NBA FINALS Thread!

Ladies and Gentlemen.... The DAY is finally here!!!!!!!!!!!

The "regular season" is over, and so is the regular season thread.

The 2 BEST Teams in the NBA are left standing and will do battle.

The Epic rise of virtually an Eastern All-Star team in the Miami Heat.

The savvy Veteran team that was written off many games ago, looking for a chance at redemption: Dallas Mavericks.

Man I am beside myself as is ALL of BIG D!!!

One thing is certain for tonight... EMOTIONS are running on upper atmosphere!

I was watching Finals press conferences on NBA TV and I am sensing a strong and confident MAVS team in light of media giving edge to the Heat. Also word around here locally is that Caron Butler may in fact return to the lineup when Dallas comes home for Game 3! THAT will be interesting. Even if he does not play, the "emotional factor" of him being suited up is huge.
Dallas has a incredible team of veterans that understand what is at stake and I believe this is what will be "key to winning their first Ring".
Jason Kidd has been to the Big Dance twice!
Dirk once.
Jet Terry once.
But we have a plethora of guys who are battle tested in Playoffs current and previous, and understand this "Huge Stage": Peja and the Matrix.
And then you have the "deepest bench" in the entire NBA!

It is gonna be fierce, emotional, gritty, and spectacular B-Ball on the biggest stage in prime time.

Also Dirk Novvitzki's "Title or Bust" approach this entire season has not faltered once. And even more so, the entire TEAM has bought into this mentality and goal! http://www.41-world.com/default.php#home

All I can say....

LET'S GO MAVS!!!

I am encouraged at halftime that although our shooting is off and rhythm is eratic, we are very much in it away from home.
Be real nice to ****** game one.

Man what a sloppy slow *** game.
Miami got game 1 and Dallas will need game 2 to have any kind of momentum. And I certainly believe our shooting will improve. Our bench even played poorly which is not normal.
Adjustments will be made as well as settling down and making shots. Both teams shot below 40%. So a very lackluster game # 1.

Heat have this in the bag. if they keep shutting out Dirk, Mavs have no chance.

Great game, I honestly never realized how potent the heat defense was. The big 3 can score but defensively they are nice.

There needs to be a thread starting license people should have to apply for....

lol, good game but not the most entertaining if you're not a fan of either team. Switched to 'The Office' for a half hour at 11...

Congrats to Miami for the win.

LOL it's was smart of 1sick to close that thread.. Because I was about to, go in it and quote all the d****** I meant wannabees NBA analyst.Question What happen fellas ??? Thought these two teams wouldn't amount to much this year ???. I understand it's not all your fault ESPN, NBA channel, Ex NBA players and a multitude sport " analyst " didn't give them much of a chance either. Especially the Miami Heat . That's neither here or there now. The Miami Heat are the ones in the position to possibly take it all. I take great pleasure in reminding ALL you naysayers of this obvious fact !!

The Miami Heat is in the NBA Finals .. where are your teams at ???

As for you TXSTYLE I respect you man, you always stuck in there with your team, good nor bad . But with that said and outta the way. Dallas is going down man 2006 all over again .. Sorry to say but you saw it last night with your eyes . The King and his court is WHITE HOT

Go Heat

Dirk scored 28pts friemd. Highest scorer last night. Hardly a shut out.
Keep in mind Dirk is only one of 5 players in NBA history to average 25pts in EVERY playoff game. The other players are long retired. The dude is a legend. He deserves this Ring and I hope his team can step up like he always has.

Didn't catch the game till the second half, it was a so-so game, poor shooting on both teams, not sure if it was the "D" or not, saw a lot of wide open misses/made shoots.

I for one knew the Heat was gonna be trouble for the League when the 3 All-Stars got together, I think everyone in the nation did too at one point in the beginning, most people penciled in a Championship as soon as they all heard the news, then they started losing here and there and the media kinda of jumped off the wagon. Now they're back on the wagon, just typical mentality of peeps.

Come on Dallas bring it! Can't let a bunch of dudes that can't win on their own win the whole shabang. Might be tough now, hearing Dirk has a torn tendon in his non-shooting hand.

He does deserve it, I can't argue with you on that point. But if he doesn't get it, it doesn't solidy his legacy at all. He NEEDS to get a ring more than anyone in the history of the league. He understand this and is probably the motivation for the way he's been playing.

The entire team needs it only slightly less than Dirk to escape that 'soft' label.

The Heat may win it all but there will be a 'BUT' included in every sentence until they win a second (if ever) one.
