Thought somebody would create this thread by now, but I guess not. Well the winter Olympics is coming here to our little city, and I will be CL's eyes and ears. I will try to give everybody the first looks and the leave everyone with a lasting legacy.
Oh, and I will be working for the Olympics as security, so I will be right in the middle of the action. I will be stationed in a fairly high profile location, so I'm stoked by the possibility of seeing athletes or famous people. I will try and sneak in any sort of cool stories and news I am allowed to say.
I, myself, is not that big of a fan nor do I watch winter sports, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and it's nice to see our laid back city bustling with some life for a change. I've been seeing just a tad more tourists in town, although I am expecting a lot more in the coming weeks. Road closures are starting to take place and jets and helicopters are flying in the skies more frequently. The venues are ready, we are ready...come on World!
Other than that, enjoy the Games! May the best country win...Canada!!!LOL

There is apparently a bigger one at Whistler Village, but non-workers, non-residents and non-athletes need a pass to go in right now. They will be issuing a general pass soon enough so us poor people can go up there too. But I'll steal someone's pictures to see what it looks like...and the mascots.

So excited for the games! I'm a HUGE hockey fan, I enjoy watching speed skating and snowboarding too. In any case, Vancouver is a beautiful city, I had the pleasure of visiting once when I was younger... you guys are very deserving! Keep us updated.
lol 22 are one of those shots that I put some effort into...but more pictures and news to come. I will be free during the opening ceremony, and even though I do not have any tickets for the game, I will report from the streets.
OK I have to bring this to the attention of everybody...this is just too funny and NOT photoshopped...this is actually real. Anybody who can speak Polish is of course welcome to translate.
