Default Official Trailer for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

The movie looks like it might be OK, but that voice over was cheesy as hell.

Looks like they might be a little less CGI'd than the prequels.

I knew about the less CGI (which is great). How many years is it after the death of Vader does this take place?

[UPDATE: Found it about 30 years]

As I understand it, all these newer SW films are going in reverse order? Prequel after prequel.

This isn't a prequel. It's 30 years after the events of RotJ

Avengers 2 looks a hell of a lot better. *Going to pass on this crap.

*Disclaimer: Not a Star Wars fan. Hating on it accordingly.

I was very disappointed in the direction they are going with this, I feel like I am one of the few people who liked the prequels though.

I love where this one's going, AND I loved the prequels. Sure, there was some garbage dialogue in them, but I still loved the story. I'm a political junky at heart though.

I have never seen any of the SW movies, not that I hate them. I want to watch them but don't know where to begin.

Should I just watch them in the order they were released?

I would watch the original Star Wars movies first, "Star Wars A New Hope", "Empire Strikes Back", "Return of The Jedi". These are the movies that were the events/icons and changed movie making and have the most developed characters and stories, they are by far the most entertaining. The later movies are prequels but they don't really feel at all in the same league as the originals and just are not very good, they rely too much on big CGI effects and feel more like you are watching a video game at times. They do have some pretty good moments but I would skip them unless you are just curious about what was supposed to have take place with the clone wars before "Star Wars a New Hope", you don't need to watch the prequels to enjoy and understand the original 3.

I am going to watch the original 3 in the next few nights for the Holidays, Star Wars movies remind me when I was younger around Christmas getting Star Wars toys as gifts and watching the movies on HBO.

Definitely watch the OT first. It actually makes it easier to understand the events of the prequels, as they were written in that context.

I think the new show is Star Wars: Rebels

I gave Clone Wars a try tonight. Seems kind of odd.
