I will also say rip Paul. To everyone asking how and why. Iirc, the carrera gt was supposedly a notoriously difficult/dangerous car to drive. More than a few publications have said it.

Very Saddened by the news, He is like a brother to all of us car people.. (I'm in disbelief) RIP Paul.

From one of the blogs posted, The Before Pic shows a Carrera GT with BLUE wheel hubs and at the crash scene the car has RED hubs..Anyone catch that?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...shed-pole.html

After looking at the pics, he had Blue Hubs on the passenger side and red hubs on the driver side since the before pics only show passenger. The After pics, show (blue on one side, and red on the other)..

Even the most experienced race car drivers crash sometimes. Happens in NASCAR, which is a much more controlled setting.

At the time of it's first release, I though FnF was a Hollywood joke to glamorize the CA street racing scene. Turns out it helped legitimize it to the extent that old school Ford/Chevy aftermarket retailers tried to get in on it.

Thanks Paul for inspiring us all, from movie goers, import fanbois, and racers alike. You will be missed. RIP..

they will continue the movie franchise and explain his death in the movie or have someone replace him in the role. too much money at stake.

Carrera GT didn't gain its nickname "The widow maker" for nothing.

I mean it hit a tree that size and ended like that? It must have ruptured a fuel line or something to cause it to explode. It they were going at a extreme high rate of speed they would have severed the tree and the wreck would have been spread over a larger area.
