It's gonna be an interesting console war between the two.

Can't wait to see who steals the show at E3, but by the looks of it, I say PS4 is winning..

- Games will not work, full stop, if the console has not connected to the internet in the last 24 hours.

“With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies.”

- You can’t sell your second-hand games to any store that might want to buy them from you:

“Today, some gamers choose to sell their old disc-based games back for cash and credit. We designed Xbox One so game publishers can enable you to trade in your games at participating retailers. Microsoft does not charge a platform fee to retailers, publishers, or consumers for enabling transfer of these games.”
Quote:
- You can’t just pass games around among your friends:

“Xbox One is designed so game publishers can enable you to give your disc-based games to your friends. There are no fees charged as part of these transfers. There are two requirements: you can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once.”
What in the world is happening to gaming???
Sony doesn't even need to promote the PS4. The Xbox One is the best marketing tool for Sony.

Agreed. I'm not touching the new Xbox. Way to go Microsoft.

I already know what I'm getting, and it's not the Xbox One.

Kotaku had this great article on when "enough is enough."

When Will Gamers Say Enough Is Enough?
http://kotaku.com/video-game-compani...hing-511789152

As an avid gamer this all does ring true. This is the line that got to me (an older gamer).

I didn't really buy into DLC and especially when it became about unlocking features that were already on the disc (thank GameStop and Capcom). The only time I bought "DLC" was when the game was re-released with bonus content and even at that I can only recall 3 games I have done it for. If I do end up purchasing One, i will probably only purchase titles that I can play with my brothers.

Yes, that's utter BS too.
I bought some awesome DLC and the download was something like 512k in size. I thought there was an error. Nope, I just spent another $10 to play something I already paid for.

We can complain all we want, but nothing will change until gamers stop putting up with it.

Unless it's some game I can't wait to play (rare considering the size of the game backlog I have) I just wait for the complete version to come out several months to a year later. Don't care much for multiplayer so it doesn't effect me if MP is dying by the time I get it

That's what I do. I'm so cheap that I always wait until a complete edition comes and goes on sale. I can't stand the idea of paying for DLC.

Well, the new consoles can support 1080P games. The current gen can't do that unless it's a simple game like Tetris.

I do like the XBox design, but I'll probably get a PS4.

Yeah seriously. You would think the game devs and hardware manufacturers would have learned their lesson from SimCity.

I do the same and don't normally pay for a game at release price. I never pre-order a game -- not sure why anyone would do that. Sometimes the new game just sucks even though the previous one was good.

Ugh, you think. But no. They just try not to make the same mistakes. Lets release a game that cannot be played unless you're only online and have paid us to fix our problem. Does SimChityeven work? I give up soon after its release. And I use to play the ish out of that game when it first came out.

For the record if the newest iteration has not been referenced as such before I'd like to be known as the originator of SimChity... Haha
