I've done it many times and find it a lot of fun - especially if you're doing it with someone special. My GF and & are looking forward to a number of road trips.

I've done it a few times. But now most of my road trips consist of just 2500 miles.

Make sure you have some good music. Enough rest prior to leaving for the trip. Have an idea of what you want to see, and what routes you want to take.

Me too, did the roadtrip thing for the first time last summer with my son, went to the Badlands and Mt. Rushmore. Not far from MN in the big picture but the trip was a lot of fun. Planning at least one more this year, thinking Colorado and or Yellowstone. So many places I'd like to see and so little time and money.
