theres a lot more takers because the incentives are higher as compared to a different state, which is why there are more there taking.

...those are average income numbers after taxes? I dont see how anyone can survive with 29K in California. Hopefully this is individual and not combined family income

I'm not sure how that newspaper is "adjusting" the incomes to get to those numbers.

Census website with some income stats:

The only mod I have is 2 L stickers on the doors and I make way more than this state avg.
I was in the same position for a while. I made a lot of money back when I got my SC, but the only mod I had was tint.

Live Free or Die

Plus the states I like the most or visit frequently seem to be on the list of the worst to make a living: Hawaii, Maine and Vermont. Not sure where New York on the list though, probably in the middle somewhere. Don't get me wrong I like California and all, but I only visit San Francisco or the surrounding areas, I don't go south to L.A or San Diego anymore.
Shopping would be a lot more fun if there was no sales tax. I buy everything online just to avoid it now.

I've aways wanted to love in California, but they say it's impossible to survive out there without a high paying job. I guess I'll stay in Texas...

Florida is awesome! I would go there if it weren't for the hurricanes.
