Maybe we should ask member "meowcat" for advice
I would do the same thing. My family loves animals. There are 3 cats that go to my Mom's job site that she feeds. She has even bought them bowls, and feeds them with friskies and bottled water
I would definitely ask the owner of the "Dad" to neuter his cat. I hate when kittens are spread out into this world and they arent raised by a loving family. Best of luck!

Please, PLEASE don't send them to a shelter unless you're absolutely 100% sure it's a no-kill shelter.

I'm an absolute cat lover and I couldn't stand the thought of kittens dying. I'd adopt one if I wasn't so far away.

There's no way in hell I'd let anyone kill those kittens after I've been putting so much work trying to raise them. This is seriously like a full time job. Feeding and cleaning them three times a day takes a lot of time, its like caring for a baby. I pretty much secured homes for two of them already.

I'll try to capture the mommy and bring her in to get fixed. Shes too feral to be adapted, but she can stick around the back yard.

My sister did that. She trapped them, brought them to the rescue, had them fixed and released them again. Well....they are her 'backyard' cats. They sleep under the porch and she feeds them. They never leave the yard.

If you go to the rescue they will loan you out a trap. Once mom is in there, take her back to the rescue and because you are bringing in a feral there are programs that will do it no cost to you!

Was my kitty already claimed?

Find a rescue group that will do TNR - trap, neuter, release - which would be best for mom if she is feral. They'll make a little cut on her ear to indicate she has been fixed. Glad to hear almost all of the kittens and mom have homes.

That is the plan, she doesn't even leave the backyard much as it is, and we have made her a space under the porch, and she made another space behind the couch.

I'm not yet sure which ones are claimed, but I got two people that want a kitten. Its 80% set, but they havent seen them yet.

Now that the weather is getting warmer, the owners of the daddy cat are letting him out, and he likes to chill with the mommy and eats her food if im not watching. So now I have to stay out on the porch every time I feed her until she's done eating and keep him away from her food. I need to talk to him owners, they really need to get him fixed.

I don't understand why people get cats if they are only going to let them run around outdoors. And not fixed? Talk about irresponsible I'd be doing more than talking to the 'owner.'

Och, be aware that he might be ready to go for a second round of kittens already. Since she is not feeding them, she will become physically ready herself and may "attract" him with her scent.

Something freaky just happened. I was playing with the kittens, and they were meowing, and I hear their mother meowing. So I look up and she's staring at us through the windows.

So I showed her one of the kittens through the glass, they meowed at each other for a little. So I figure, let me open the window and let them sniff each other, and so I do and hold the kitten against the insect screen.

Good thing that screen was there! The mother all of a sudden turned mad, hissed like crazy and jumped right toward the kitten. If it wasn't for the screen I don't know what would've happened!

No, I actually think she wanted to attack the baby.

Your scent is all over the baby, that's why. She visually remembers them but once she was able to smell them they were 'tainted'. Kind of how if a chick falls our of the nest and we try to put it back, the mom will kick it right back out. It's the human scent.

Well at least she doesn't have to wonder or yearn for them anymore.
