Question Anyone Recently Purchase a MATTRESS Set?

We are looking to get a new mattress. We currently have a Sterns and Foster but I am wanting to go Serta or Sealy this go around. KING and budget of $1,500 more or less.
Plush Pillow-Top is a MUST!

Have you thought of a Sleep Number? I have a Twin Extended, wasn't cheap, but it's nice if you are sick and your body aches, you can adjust the firmness or softness for that 'perfect' comfort. Food for thought.

Another good article: http://www.mattressreports.com/innerspring_review.html

i am reading alot of sites saying to consider memory foam or latex mattresses. But they seem to me that they would be VERY unsupportive and cause sink-spots sooner than later?
Anyone use non-inner spring type?

2 good friends have memory foam mattresses and they absolutely love them. I'm not so sure myself if i would like them personally... I think along the lines that you do.

tempur pedic and it's been the best we have had so far, far superior than any spring mattresses we have had throughout the years. most supportive and they don't degrade (my friend has had his for 15 yrs and zero sag)

both my wife and i have back problems so we are very sensitive to mattress support. ever since we started using tempur pedic, our back problem has been improved drastically

I dont know much about beds but i bought one last week

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Spa-Sensat...tress/12542630

Strange to get it at walmart but it has over 600 reviews and it is 4 and a half stars. Got a full size for $220shipped to my place (college student is too poor to afford tempur pedic) . I am getting it next week! I'll let you know how it is

Just need a frame now.

I got a Tempur Pedic setup earlier this year. I have to say that even though it's more money--I agree with rominl that it is money well spent.

I'm a big believer in Verlo. They custom-build beds to order--you try out some examples in the store, then order exactly what you want. Say you want one with a massive 4" euro-top, but want the base mattress underneath REALLY firm. They can do that. My personal preference is a Firm (not extra- or super-firm) with about 1.5" of dense latex foam on top, and they cranked them out just the way I like. Prices are slightly below the 4 S (Sealy, Simmons, Serta, Sterns and Foster), and delivery/carryaway is typically included.

I think at this point I've bought 5--one queen, two Kings and two Twins--with only one being a replacement for a previous Verlo (a queen which was ~10 yrs old when I replaced it with a King, and my FIL is still happily using). When the time comes for my 3yr old to move up from his twin(s) to a full or queen, I know where I'm headed...

Plus 100. I love mine and would never consider a different brand. Whole family has them and we are all happy.
