I'm usually a fan of these kinds of scenarios... but this is far too theatrical for me. It'd make a better movie than it will a television series. And even then, I think that the concept of alien visitors taking over the world has been far too overworked.

I watched the 80's series and enjoyed the episode I watched tonight with the in laws. They loved it as well. Its a slick remake.

Saw the show last night - it was pretty good. I watched "V" in the 80s, too, so it will be fun to see what I actually remember from the plot line.
However, I could have done without all the references to current news headlines - "Wait - are you talking about UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE?".  Bit over the top, doncha think?

What was so good about it? I must have watched it with higher expectations based on what I remember the show being like as a kid. I thought there were too many corny lines as well as bad acting. The women are cute though!  Then again the gals that were on the new Knight Rider were also cute, but that only carried the show so far until it was yanked.

I am surprised ABC cuts some decent shows off. Yet Desperate Housewives is still around. Honestly if I was on the board of directors at Disney I would be forcing them to get that horrible show off the air!!!
Only shows I really watch on ABC is:
- Castle
- Better Off Ted
Shows that I watched that ABC axed:
- Surviving Suburbia (2009)
- The Unusuals (2009)
- Defying Gravity (2009)
- The Days (2005)
