I love all the current big artists, but here are some smaller ones that I've enjoyed for many years. My heyday was the late 90's/early 00's, so lots from that time.

1) Angelli & Nelson
2) TILT
3) Matt Darey
4) Lustral
5) Solar Stone
6) Libra
7) ATB
8) Tin Tin Out
9) Lost Witness
10) Lost Tribe
11) Darude
12) Plasma
13) Robert Miles
14) Mike Klogin
15) BT
16) Brainchild
17) Tina Cousins
18) Tillman & Ries
19) Binary Finary
20) Angelic
21) Rank 1
22) Gabrielle (Rise)
23) Albion
24) Vicious Circles
25) Ayla
26) Hypertrophy
27) Olive
28) Tenth Planet
29) Kaycee ("Millennium Strings," just an amazing song!)
30) Dee Dee

Great taste! The words and message in the song really hit the nail on the head.

Great list

Ayla had a lot to do with me getting into this music ... as did Robert Miles. Have any of you heard of Dj Mangoo, Dj Mystic or The Cynic Project? They are obviously nowhere near as big as ATB, Tiesto or the likes was, but they have a special place in my heart

Which Mac program did you use? I haven't touched Cakewalk, hows the interface for you? Or what you remember anyways.
it was either logic studio or garage band. I cant remember but he showed me how to use it and I was very impressed!!

cakewalk was alright but if you want to put out anything significant something better is a must. But i believe there is an expensive version of Cakewalk that has all the bells and whistles but i guess they all have that.

now i just spin (or screw around) with trance and dnb. i plan on building a nice collection of vinyl when i go to the uk! yay

What decks do you use?

I'm using 2 CDJ 1000 MK2s with a Rane TTM57SL with Serato.

For production I use Ableton Live 7, Reason 4, Pro Tools 8, Native Instruments Komplete 5

Post up some mixes!

Who wants to go to MONSTER MASSIVE 09!?!?

We should get a CL group to go ... those from the So Cal area and those who are willing to drive here

Armin is going to be there .. that's a good enough reason to go. What sucks is ... I always wait until the last minute to buy tickets ;( the line-up determines if I'm going or not.

Track of the day:

Cressida - 6AM (Kyau & Albert remix)

hahahaha thats an embarrassing question yosh. I have a numark starter set. just your basic starter direct drive tables and basic mixer. I have been playing drums for 12 years so beat has always come naturally and since getting into electronic so hard I thought what the hell and bought it on ebay. I dont know if I will ever get into it so much to get better equipment but i will continue to go to as many events as i can.

p.s. awesome track btw on that cressida

doesn't matter as long as you can use it! It's not the gear you have its how you use it!

No particular order..

ATB
Armin Van Buuren
DJ Inphinity
DJ Antoine
LMFAO

I listen to breakbeats but mostly by underground DJ's like Babyboi, Tinman, Loopy, etc.. but I have converted to House music, mostly Hard House/Chicago Hard House.
