Armed Forces
I am curious who on ClubLexus is a member of the Armed Services be it Army, Navy, Marines, or Coast Guard oh yea Air Force. And please tell alittle about yourself. And please post a picture of yourself in your uniform on deployment or at your home station.
I am a Squad Leader, Staff Sargeant aka E6. A proud member of the 186 Military Police Company based at Camp Dodge here in Iowa. I joined in October of 2000 and just reuped last October for another 6 years and will stay in till I retire in 2013.
Here is a picture of me with my trusty AT-4 in Baghdad, Iraq in OIF 1. July 03 guarding a Juvenile Courthouse in one of our sectors.
Here is a picture of me in March of 03,(the date is wrong) My position was the gunner. My weapon systems on top of the gun truck is the Mk-19 Automatic Grenade Launcher, M-249 Saw(squad automatic weapon), AT-4, and my M-16 203.
Look forward to hearing from everyone else.

Hey now... what's with leaving out the Air Force???
Not active duty yet, I'm a cadet in the ROTC at Det 158 @ USF in Tampa, FL. I will be attending field training in summer of '08 and am planning on commissioning as a 2LT once I graduate. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering with dual minors in Math and Aerospace Science.
I'm aiming for an AFSC of 14NX (Intel) or 62EX (Developmental Engineering).
Huah!

I'd post pics of me with what I work on, but it's all classified...

I wouldn't turn it down if they offered it to me.
My O-5 board meets next month, so I'll take things one step at a time.

That's awesome! Usually, if you are getting to go before the board for O-5, you would have had to screw up royally to not get the next promotion... True, it's not guaranteed, but hell... it's a good start! I just hope the left side of file is empty!
Let me know when you get word of your results... Lt. Col is no small feat...
If you don't mind my asking, sir... what do you as an Astronautical Engineer... that sounds like a field that might be right down my alley... (declassified version, of course... I haven't been issued clearance yet)
