Anyone else sick of the Lexus commercial guy's voice?
I figure the guy is about 100 at this point but his raspy laryngitis sounding voice, while once cool, now is just irritating to me. I wish Lexus would change. It may have worked for the high end LS, but this ad I just was was for an IS, and it seemed totally out of place.

Not as bad as when Infinity used Jonathan Pryce talking for 30sec about how the clock is in the center of the dash...It was like their whole marketing scheme was based on if the clock is so good, imagine how good the car is.
Or the Jaguar ads....Some thick British pompous accent pronouncing Jaguar...Jag-ooo-ahr.

I also used to like the Lexus guy's voice. I get the ads down here since I can access DirecTV, and everytime I my friends and cousins are over and I say look, a Lexus ad, they say the voice comes off with a sheer lack of enthusiasm.
i like it. he is the embodiment of trademark Lexus class. like Chick Hearn was the Lakers, **** Vitale is college hoops, Vin Scully is the Dodgers, Michael Buffer is American boxing, that "OH BABY" guy is And 1. The guy who does all the previews in motion pictures, and the IMAX voice. You get the point.
If it aint broke, dont fix it.

Yeah. I had been strong...the shakes went away and I could walk away from the pooters and not think of them. I needed some new tires...so I tried reading other sites...I was curious what had occurred on CL so I peeked in, that was it...shakes and all are back.
I dunno why commercials don't use more female voices? Male voices don't draw me...a bubbly female voice...
