Thanks guys
To be perfectly honest, it has been alot easier than I imagined. Again... the importance of a "solid/reputable system is vital. I do water changes actually only every other month, but i change out this fiberglass filter once a week. And the protein skimmer is dumped once a week (it basically spins the water and causes sh1t and debris to rise into a 16oz cup which you unscrew and simply pour out. And yes, I am very proud of the "crystal clear" water. I especially like the fluorescent type lighting at night, it really makes the fish stand out! And I decided not to do ANY poisonous fish. I wanted a Lion like pictured on the first page but the shop guys explained the sheer pain of being stung and possibly damaging other fish. You know what's amazing if you think about it... The weight! Just my tank with water is @ 800lbs i have about 80lbs of live rock and I'm sure the stand is at least 100lbs. So we're talking almost 1,000 lbs chillin there.

In time that Zebra eel is going to munch on that hermit crab. If he's hungry enough he'll crush that shell with his jaws. I've had one for 7 years.

What size tank?
Also what water do you use, like at petco they sell real saltwater from the ocean for like 5 bucks for 10 gallons. or do u use the dry method?

I've had one for 7 <<I hand feed him raw shrimp and accidentally got my finger bit! They have round blunt teeth so it didn't break the skin... However it felt like pliers and did hurt.

90 Gallon
I actually get fresh water for 'topping off' (evaporation) aquarium shop. I get a discount due to the considerate investment I initially spent there.

So I have some new residents since I last posted:
My wife completely surprised me with the Picasso Trigger for my birthday back in July!
A new black & white striped Damsel
And the large Chocolate Tang (back right). He/She is very shy but is a gorgeous fish. I stood there for like 10min trying to get them all in this shot lol.
I also added @ 20lbs more live rock.

Looks good man I was a bit amazed that for a first timer saltwater, your fish are all doing well, major props there . I have long since taken my saltwater down . I had it in my room *(small room) and the odor the tank put off was messing with me, allergies maybe?
PS: Love that Maroon Clown. Look at the Golden edged Maroons, they are beautiful.
