Grats on making that setup work. That is a lot of stock for that tank. Good thing you went with a 90. Anything smaller than a 55 becomes pretty high maintenance imo.

Do you do regular water tests?

We used to have a saltwater aquarium long time ago. Your fish is beautiful and water is so clean. Lots memories everytime I see a nice saltwater aquarium.

thanks guys!

no reef tank for me.... expensive lighting and much too delicate overall.

i have had a couple minor casualties but very clean and solid pump/filtration system has worked quite well.

I love that Picasso Trigger. Reminds me of the one I used to have. They are very docile (as far as Trigger fish go) and very hardy and VERY cool to watch. Your wife made a great choice.

One more question. How do you deal with nitrates if you don't change water? Do you have a secondary plant tank that you pump through?

I do change 25% of it but not as often as most. every other month.
