This is just very sad.

Sorry to say this, but for some reason I felt like something like this was going to happen to him sooner or later.

Blessings for the families.

Wow what an horrible accident. I feel sorry for the girls family especially since this was preventable. I mean this guy drinks by himself? A friend should of stepped in and taken action, I don't care how much you know about beer, you shouldn't drive when your drunk.

Sorry folks, it was a mistake but all is well now. A mistake is eating someone else's food when it's not labeled not drinking and driving intoxicated leading to the death of an innocent victim.

I see you have sympathy for him but not her or her family since you've failed to show any in your post.

I hope he rots in jail also.
I am sure you, like everyone else on these boards has done something very stupid that they wish they hadn't. But maybe 99% of us are lucky enough to have gotten away with it. Maybe you decided to show some punk kid in his Civic how slow his car really was. So you started speeding. What if you had lost control and hit someone. Do you deserve to rot in jail??

Noone, and I think I am speaking on behalf of Gazi is sticking up for Beerguy, we are just saying that I am sure he feels just as bad as anyone else affected by this loss.

Yes he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, but rot in jail??

I am in no way taking sides here and I agree that what he did was terrible. I can only pray for the family of the girl who was the victim here.

Oh Man, My thoughts a prayers go out to both families.....as well as the accused.
2 lives destroyed.

I've also talked to "beerguy" a few times, and hes a good (young) guy who made a tragic mistake. But obviously he has done this before with a name like "beerguy". That and going to UT Austin (an environment condusive to the drunk lifestyle). Sad.

If you must get drunk........do it at home.

I do not however, classify this as a cold blooded murder, rape, or any other sinister crime that would require one to "Rot in Jail"
Lets have the magnifying glass and have a good look at your lives

Well said.
My prayers go out to the family for the loss of their loved one.

I also pray for beerguy. Yes, we all have to sometimes suffer the consequences of our actions but I hope he uses this to change his ways. Who knows, he may be the greatest advocate for sobriety in the world one day. Some people get worse after a tragic incident. Let's hope beerguy changes.

That's what parole is for...if he genuinely learns and convinces the Parole Board of that.

Could everyone please get off their soap box? It's pathetic how much better everyone else is when they have somewhere to point a finger.

Get over yourselves. Very tragic situation and I hope some good comes out of it by changing a life for the better.

Tragic.

The life of a 20 yr old woman ended.

And Aaron's life has taken a very difficult change in direction. He will have a lot of soul-searching to do.

I see his web site was pulled down - maybe he didn't want mitigating evidence or maybe the hoster was getting clobbered by hits.

Our prayers for peace and comfort of Miss Lord's family and friends. As for Aaron, we pray for healing as he comes to terms with this tragedy.

Gene's right, we don't know the details of the accident and cannot judge. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone . . .
