Paris Hilton should apologize for using N-word
In a recently surfaced 12-hour videotape, Hilton is shown in a rather disturbing scene with two African-American men who ask her if she would model their fashion line.
Hilton, standing with pal Brandon Davis, is polite to the men, but calls them "dumb n--s" after they leave, according to British reporter Carole Aye Maung, who reviewed the tape.
"Two ... guys begin talking to her," Maung told us. "She's being very, very sweet to them. [But] she definitely uses the N-word. It's so cruel, because they were so lovely, and she was being so lovely to them."
Civil rights leaders Najee Ali, Director of Project Islamic Hope, and Earl Ofari Hutchinson, President of the Los Angeles based National Alliance for Positive Action, demanded that Paris Hilton apologize for using insulting racial slurs. Hilton is seen on her latest video tape calling two African-American men who approached her about modeling a fashion line of clothes “dumb ******s.” Ali stated, "The N-word should not be used by any artist no matter what ethnic group you are a member of. But to have a white entertainer as popular as Hilton is internationally, can only inflame racial intolerance, bigotry, and hatred." Hutchinson added: “Hilton is a popular celebrity figure. Her words and actions are hot media items at present. As any celebrity who uses vile racial slurs, she must be held accountable. She must immediately apologize. Entertainers, white or black, who use racial slurs must and should be publicly condemned.”
Ali also called for African American entertainers to curtail their use of the word "******" as well. He added,”It’s obvious it's our culture's own fault in using this negative word. Now other entertainers feel they have license too do so. But this is an opportunity to take a stand and say no more to the N-word by anyone at anytime."
Hmm.....interesting....And I have issues with Najee "The Running Man" Ali but I'll save that for another time....

Personally, I don't use it because I know where the term came from. Even if it has become a term of endearment amongst us, it still represents hate.
