You forgot the part about "Friends don't let friends drive with decapitated bodies next to them." That's what he gets for driving a Chevy! J/K

Well on TV they showed the truck with tarps over the headless body, the ME taking it away, the site where the decapitation happened, etc. Looked true to me.

The driver's life is over. All for a few drinks... what an idiot.

Could be that the truck swerved and the passenger kinda got thrown half out the window (being drunk he wouldn't have been the most stable, and I wouldn't be surprised if no seatbelts were used.

Family Of Decapitated Man Seeks Mercy For Driver

POSTED: 12:24 pm EDT September 1, 2004

MARIETTA, Ga. -- The family of a man decapitated in an alleged drunken driving accident is pleading with authorities to free his best friend, who was behind the wheel and apparently didn't notice that his passenger had been beheaded.

Francis "Frankie" Brohm, 23, was killed Saturday night on the way home from a bar with his high school friend John Hutcherson.

Hutcherson is jailed on $100,000 bond charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and failing to stop at the scene of a fatal accident.

On Tuesday, Brohm's family appealed to Cobb County District Attorney Pat Head, saying they support Hutcherson's release on bond.

"They don't want to see him in jail," said Brohm family attorney David Lipscomb. "Their position is he needs to be out to receive whatever treatment is necessary, put his life back together."

Police say Brohm was drunk and hanging out the passenger side window that night when Hutcherson veered off the road. Brohm hit a roadside telephone wire, severing his head, but Hutcherson kept driving home and went to bed, leaving Brohm's headless body in the truck.

Brohm's body was discovered by neighbors the next day, and Brohm's head was still on the side of the road. Hutcherson was apparently unaware of what had happened to his friend.

The families of both men are very close, lawyers said.

"It's just a horrific accident, and we are all just in mourning right now," said Margaret Hutcherson, John's mother, in an interview with the Marietta Daily Journal. "(Brohm has) been a part of our family just like Johnny was a part of their family. I feel like I've lost a son."

The Brohm family left Tuesday for Francis Brohm's Friday funeral, which will be held in Louisville, Ky.

Default Man Freed From Jail After Friend's Decapitation

Man Freed From Jail After Friend's Decapitation

POSTED: 7:22 am EDT September 15, 2004

MARIETTA, Ga. -- A Georgia man facing criminal charges after an apparent drunken driving accident that decapitated his longtime friend has been released from jail.

John Kemper Hutcherson, 21, thanked his dead friend's family for helping him get out of jail Tuesday.

Police say Hutcherson was driving drunk on Aug. 29 when he swerved near a telephone pole support wire -- decapitating 23-year-old Francis Daniel Brohm, who was leaning out of the window. A telephone support wire caught Brohm in the neck.

They said Hutcherson then drove 12 miles to his home and slept in his bloody clothes with the headless body still in his truck.

A neighbor discovered Brohm's headless body in Hutcherson's truck the following morning.

Hutcherson's bail was reduced from $100,000 to $50,000 after Brohm's family pleaded with prosecutors to release him.

The bond order prohibits him from driving or drinking alcohol and requires him to undergo random alcohol and drug tests

That's just crazy!!!! How do you even get that drunk???? I mean...really....he was obviously aware his "Best Freind" was sick and decided to leave the bar.....he was aware his "Best freind" got in the truck.....he was aware of the street lights and stop signs on the roads leading to his house......but wasn't aware of his "best freinds" headless body inside of his truck less than a foot away from him????? I don't get that?>> And then he was able to put his keys in a door to unlock it and walk into his home???? All these other things going on and he never...not once realized that his freind was dead???

I dunno.....sounds too crazy...I don't know about him but when I go out I look out for my freinds....NO MATTER WHAT!!!!
