2014 gs 350 f sport newbie with lowering
Hello!
This is my first Lexus and new to all this forum business. I been having a difficult time finding someone good in Northern C.A (bay area) to lower my 2014 GS 350. I have read the Tanabe are the way to go. Any suggestions on where to buy them and get them installed...One place quoted me $1000 parts and labor. Does that seem right?...Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Alex

Hi AlexW,
I bought my Tanabe springs from Meraki Autoworks (Josh in this forum). I had never done any work on my car before (other than oil changes and simple stuff like that) and decided to install my own springs. There is a great DIY on here if you want to do so. I would bank on 2-3 hrs for labor on the install for someone who does it on a semi-regular basis. I would think $300 for install sounds about right. It took me a bit longer since it was my first time. Then as spoogenet says, alignment after a couple hundred miles once the springs have settled. Love the Club Lexus forum...tons of good info and handy fully illustrated DIYs. Are you RWD or AWD?

Thanks guys for the reply!
@spoogenet, yes I agree it is a bit high..@Tcagle, thanks for the advise...I did see the DIY post a while back and it does seem possible to do it yourself, but I'm just not that handy nor do I really have the right tools..better yet just don't trust myself to something that complex lol..I will look up Meraki Autoworks and at least see order them, then find someone to install I guess..any advise on which Tanabe's to purchase, I have the 2014 F-Sport RWD...
